Saro Agrosciences is the pioneer subsidiary of the Saroafrica International group and was established in 1991 as Saro Pharma & Chemical Co. Ltd. We have evolved through different operational models and names starting as Saro Pharma & Chemical Co. Ltd to Saro Agrochemicals and now Saro Agrosciences.

Saro Agrosciences has grown into a leading player in the agriculture industry. We are passionately committed to empowering the Nigerian farmer with superior agro-inputs like Crop Protection Products, Seeds, Fertilizers, Farming Machinery and knowledge that will enable these farmers to increase their yield and livelihood in a sustainable manner. Over the years, our products and services have been developed and marketed to deliver beyond the investment and expectations of our customers.

We have consistently delivered on our brand value to improve the competitiveness and output of the Nigerian farmers by providing the right mix of agro-inputs through knowledge, innovation and partnership in the most convenient and efficient ways.

Our strengths also include an extensive logistics and distribution network with our route to market model as well as strategic collaborations with different multinationals and NGOs to provide a broad range of products, services and support to our customers at all times.

Year Achievements
1991 Company started with Mackechnie Fungicide for cocoa in South West Nigeria.
1996 Expanded portfolio to include own brands, which were launched with a nationwide campaign.
1999 Educated thousands of Farmers and pioneered a graduate traineeship scheme.
2001 Celebrated 10th year anniversary.
Became a leading player in the Nigerian agrochemical Market.
2003 Saro Agrosciences began operations in Ghana.
2006 Loss of market leadership due to poor attention to consumers changing needs and preference for affordable products.
2008 Introduction of the key account model that transformed into Direct to Retail in 2009.
2009 Acquisition of manufacturing plant by Saro Agrosciences in Ibadan.
2012 Commissioned the Ultra-Modern container terminal in Amuwo-Odofin Lagos.
Launch of the Leadership Development and General Management Program in partnership with LBS.
2013 Began a Joint Venture with SeedCo as Agriseedco and is currently leading the Nigerian Agricultural revolution with the introduction of the High Yielding Maize Seed
